    This is where hopefully the majority of questions about our business that aren't clearly defined due to unclear wording or just bad design and writing. We'll continue updating this to help you reference this to make things a lot easier to do business with our most important asset, you- our valued clientele. GENERAL ^top

Q) What's been happening to your site? It's been changing everyday!
A) We apologize for the inconvience, we've been doing an overhaul site redesign to help get important information to you, if there's a broken link, so any suggestions please feel free to direct them to steve DOT sastrad AT gmail DOT com.

Q) Can I see photos of the vehicles I want to bid on?
A) Yes, they are on our separate auction site. There's an inspection sheet you can use to learn more about the vehicle you're interested in.

Q) Why do I need to advance SASTRAD a deposit?
A) We ask for a minimum 80,000yen* (roughly 800USD)* security deposit to start the bidding process. This deposit goes towards the balance of the car your bidding for and to secure on our end, just in case of cancellation on the client end. This balance is fully refundable until the money is actually put down for bid during the auction process. Further information can be found about this process on our How it Works page.

Q) What if my car is not won at auction?
A) You can get your full deposit back, or leave it with us while we continue to search for a suitable car for you.

Q) What happens if I cancel my order after car is purchased from Auction?
A) In the case of cancellation after purchasing, the deposit is deemed unrefundable and penalized as cancellation fee.

Q) What happens when my car is won at auction?
A) It's the client's responsibility to pay the remaining balance upon receiving the Vechile Invoice that describes the fee's from auction. Pretty much its whatever the price the car was won for, minus the security deposit.

Q) How long does shipping take?
A) Shipping times differ according to the port of entry. For example, shipping from Nagoya to Canada may be 3 weeks, West Coast US 2 weeks, UK 3-4 weeks. These are rough guidelines and times may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.

Q) Which ports do you ship to?
A) SASTRAD can ship anywhere there is a major port. Depending on the country or port will depend on the lenght of time it takes to reach port. Also, shipping methods may differ: container or individual vehicle shipment. Please ask us for more details.

Q) What documents I will receive after shipment?
A) 1-Lading Bill 2-Export Certificate ( Japanese & English Version) 3-Invoice 4-Bill of Sale (optional)

PAYMENT METHOD ^top

Q) How can I make payment?
A) Payment should be made by telegraphic transfer to SASTRAD's UFJ bank account.

Q) When I send money for the security deposit, why does the amount I send end up being less on your end?.
A) This is due to nasty bank transfer fees. While we do accept PayPal transfers, but PayPal does charge a larger transfer fee than regular Telegraphic Transfer.

   Remember, the bank automatically takes out a portion of your deposit every time money is sent. These fees vary depending which currency you send. If you send Japanese Yen, the bank will take 4,000 JPY from each transfer. If you send foreign currency other than Japanese Yen, they take 1,500 JPY. So we kindly ask you to please keep this in mind, so as not to be surprised when you see the final amount that we receive on our end.
