How it Works - The purchase process
explained.
SASTRAD makes ordering very easy, broken down into 8 easy steps to purchase a
vehicle through our company. Before clients decide on starting the purchase process,
we recommend all potential clients to have a look at our User Agreement
page. If you have any questions about the ordering process, please let us know.
Buying Steps Summary:
1. Review the User Agreement
2. Vehicle Selection
3. Budget Pricing
4. Deposit Invoice and Security Deposit
6. Bidding and Buying at Auction
7. Final Payment (within 3 days of purchase)
8. De-regrister, Delivery
and Shipping
Since we're licensed by the Japanese government to handle the
purchasing and selling of used vehicles, we have to follow certain guidelines in
documenting each vehicle we send out of the country. The deregistration process
(before shipping) is to insure that the vehicle you bought was not reported stolen.
Read Terms and Conditions
1. Familarize your self with the process, reading this page and the User Agreement.
Vehicle Selection
2. Decide on the vehicle you want, either in our stock or to be bought in an
auction. We'll be asking you tell us the following: make, model, year, color,
and transmission, and fuel type, number of doors, maximum kilometers, and
options.
Your Budget Pricing
3. Tell us what your maximum price is. We'll need this when bidding in auctions
or procuring from our dealer network. When thinking about your budget, please keep
in mind the cost of shipping to your country (we can give you a rough idea at first)
and our fees (please see "Our Fees" for more details).
Deposit Invoice and Security Deposit
4. After we have confirmed that the car you are looking for is up for sale, we will
send you a Deposit Invoice with details pertaining to your potential vehicle that
we're working together to bid on. We'll also send our bank information
for sending payment. We'll wait for you to confirm that you want to buy this vehicle.
The faster you reply, the better chance that the vehicle is available.
Before any of the bidding process begins we ask our clients to pay a Security Deposit of 80,000 JPY
(Japanese Yen) (roughly $800USD), this is to insure our company from client cancellation. PayPal Transfers
are
available.
Bidding and Buying at Auction
5. After we receive confirmation from our bank of your payment we will arrange to
bid on the vehicle. Once the auction is won, we inform you of the auction vehicle purchase and proceed
to export the vehicle.
If vehicle bid is unsucessful, in other words we were unable to win the auction
within the client set maximum
bid, we can:
A) Have SASTRAD retain your balance and use it for another
attempt at a similar vehicle or different auction. The desired vehicle will most
likely be available within a few weeks of the unsuccessful bid at the next
upcoming auction.
B) Refund your balance (whether it be the security
deposit, or the remaining balance on your account with us)
Final Payment
7. In the case you are purchasing singluar vehicles and not in bulk by
container, we'll send
you a Vehicle Invoice which has all the information you need to make payment,
including bank information and payment due dates.
De-register, Delivery and Shipping
8. Once your vehicle(s) is on the ship, we will fax or e-mail you the shipping forms, and
also send you the forms by express mail or FedEx.
Please inform us if there is a shipping company
you would prefer to use. Also, we'll inform you of the marine insurance costs for
your vehicle if you want to insure it.
Buying stock
Right now we're updating our stock page here online, but if you're interested
in what we have to offer, feel free to contact our sales representatives on our
contact page.
Please note: Any customs duties
are the responsibility of the buyer. We kindly ask our clients to be aware of any import regulations or
restrictions before making an order. Before buying a vehicle, we'll make sure it
will conform to your country's specific vehicle import regulations. We won't buy
a vehicle that can't be shipped to the buyer's country!
